How to Make
a T-shirt

Instructional Video

YEAR 2015

GRD-271 Multimedia Design
Catawba Valley Community College

As a promotional video for the elective course, PRN-155 Screen Printing I, Ryland Perry and Phinthone “Ping” Senesombath created “How to make a T-shirt”.

The video aims to give students a glimpse of the screen printing course and how to create a t-shirt. Aaron Tallman acts as a subject matter expert, providing steps to the task, while video provides visually engaging clips. The video follows the class working to create some digital designs, then preparing sreens, printing the shirts, and lastly wearing the shirts.

In preparation for creating this video, a script was provided to the subject matter expert, and a design for the t-shirt was created. The video was filmed over multiple days, and edited together using Adobe Premiere Pro.

Thanks Ping for your assistance with this project!

Watching this video in 2025, over ten years later, I want to enhance the audio and edit the clips for a better presentation. Still, I choose to keep it as it is because growth involves recognizing past experiences and progress. This project was one of my first assignments in instructional design, before I fully understood it, and it ignited my passion for teaching.
