Design Career Pathways

Instructional Video

YEAR 2020

Created for GRD-117 Design Career Exploration as a project for
ELDT 6130 - Instructional Multimedia Development
at The University of North Carolina - Charlotte

Keeping learners engaged for long online lessons can be difficult. Learners tend to not watch instructional videos, or skip around in the video. This patchwork of information leaves holes in their knowledge, making it hard to build upon in future lessons.

To keep learners engaged with lengthy videos, this edpuzzle lesson breaks up the content with multiple-choice questions to check for understanding. If a learner answers a question incorrectly, they must rewatch the small portion of the lesson and try again before they can move forward with the lesson.

Learners are unable to skip ahead, and must understand the module learning objective before they are able to mark the lesson complete and gain credit within the LMS.
